Why Babywear?
Wearing your baby during the first year of their life has so many incredible benefits. Not only are you able to be hands-free, having baby close provides a womb-like feeling for bub. This leads to help in settling, bonding and positive development for baby. Having baby upright in the Carrier can also assist with alleviating colic and reflux symptoms. We are mums too, and created these Carriers because we know. We’ve got you!

Wrap Carrier Vs Ring Sling?
We have put together a guide to help you choose. There’s a few differences, so take a look and get to know them both.
What age & weight are the Carriers most suitable for?
Wrap Carrier: Best suited for use in the first year, the Wrap Carrier is recommended for babies 3-10kg. We find it most useful in the first 6-8 months as it really gives you a ‘hands free’ capacity and a womb-like environment for baby. If your baby is under 3kg, we recommend discussing the use with your Doctor and/or Midwife.
Ring Sling: The Ring Sling is also suitable for the newborn period, however, can be used for babies from 3-15kg. You can use the Ring Sling to support older babies when carrying them on your hip. If your baby is under 3kg, we recommend discussing the use with your Doctor and/or Midwife.
Does one size fit all?
Wrap Carrier: We have designed our Wrap Carrier to be generous, without the fabric being too long. This makes them a ‘OSFA’ style of carrier. The Wrap Carrier can be tied to fit securely on many different body sizes and shapes. Whilst normally we would tie at the front, you can secure them at the back to give extra length if needed.
Ring Sling: We have designed our Ring Sling to be generous, without the fabric being too long. This makes them a ‘OSFA’ style of carrier. The Ring Sling can be looped and secured at different lengths to fit securely on many different body sizes and shapes.

How do I put the Carrier on?
Wrap Carrier: We have put together an easy-to-follow Wrap Carrier video with the instructions. Your Carrier will come with a set of instructions to refer to also.
Ring Sling: We have put together an easy-to-follow Ring Sling video with the instructions. Your Carrier will come with a set of instructions to refer to also.
I think I need extra help putting my Carrier on!

Can I wear my baby facing forward or on my back?
Our carriers are not designed with this style of carrying in mind. Baby needs to be carried ‘close enough to kiss’ in the VIXSA carriers, so please adhere to the 'TICKS' rule when using.
Can I use a VIXSA Carrier if I've had a C-Section?
Yes, our Carriers are a helpful addition to your postpartum season. We recommend following the ‘TICKS’ rule, and wear the Carrier high (above your incision).
The fabric we use for our Carriers is soft and comfortable. We recommend being mindful when putting on your Carrier and adjusting baby. If you’re feeling unsure, reach out to your Doctor or Midwife.
Are the Ring Sling ‘rings’ interchangeable or can I choose a different colour?
The Ring Sling comes with only the colour rings pictured. These are made to a high quality and are professionally stitched into each sling. They cannot be changed or removed from the Carrie

What are your certifications?
VIXSA has been certified 'Hip-Healthy' from the International Hip Dysplasia Institute for both the Wrap Carrier and Ring Sling.
Both Co-Founders have been certified by the prestigious Australian Baby-Wearing Association as industry-leading baby-wearing consultants. This means that they possess the knowledge and expertise necessary to provide the highest level of care for both you and your baby.
VIXSA is also a member of the worldwide ‘BCIA’ – Baby Carrier Industry Alliance.

What are the Carriers made from?
Wrap Carrier: Made with the signature VIXSA jersey, the composition is 95% bamboo and 5% spandex. This gives the Wrap Carrier strength with a comfortable stretch. All carriers are professionally finished and come with a matching fabric storage bag.
Ring Sling: Made from 100% linen, the Ring Sling is sturdy and durable but still offers softness for you and your baby. The rings are stitched securely into your carrier and professionally finished. The carrier comes with a matching fabric storage bag.
How do I wash my Carrier?
We have simple washing instructions printed on the soft tag sewn into your Carrier. Be careful not to wash your carrier with anything that could cause damage. Garments with snaps, buttons or zippers may snag on the carrier and lead to holes.
Wrap Carrier: We recommended a cold, gentle machine wash. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Hang to dry in the shade.
Ring Sling: We recommended a cold, gentle machine wash. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Hang to dry in the shade. Iron or steamer can be used on your Ring Sling with medium heat.
The VIXSA Centre Tag
The VIXSA tag and centre marker for the VIXSA Wrap Carrier has been updated to a matching printed tag instead of the faux leather tag. A mixture of images will be showcased on our socials and website whilst we roll out the change.
The change is to increase the longevity of the Wrap and eliminate unnecessary friction between the tag and the soft, stretchy nature of the VIXSA Bamboo material.
SHIPPING
Can I exchange or get a refund for my order?
We offer a generous exchange policy. You may return most new, unopened items within 50 days of delivery for a full product refund (minus shipping costs) should you change your mind or a product is faulty.

We like to get orders packaged and posted ASAP - however sometimes delays occur.

Do you ship internationally?
We sure do! Babies need to be carried all over the world!
What shipping carrier do you use?
We send all orders domestically + internationally via Australia Post. Once your order is dispatched, an email will be sent to you with your tracking number. You can click that number on your email, or alternativly head here to track your order.
